Payment Options

There are a number of options available to pay citations, court fees and fines. These options are listed below.

Citation Payment Methods

Online and Phone Payments

Our convenient and secure online service may be used to pay for citations (traffic tickets). Online payments are generally processed on the next business day. It is the defendants’ responsibility to ensure that payments are made in sufficient time to meet required deadlines. Go to TrafficPayment.com to make your payment.

You may also pay citations by phone at 1-800-444-1187 with a credit card. As with online payments it is the defendants' responsibility to ensure payments are made in sufficient time to meet required deadlines.

*ACKNOWLEDGMENT

When paying a citation online or by phone, you must pay in full.
Unless a previous plea has already been entered with the court (e.g., Deferred Disposition or Driver's Safety Course), by paying your citation online or by phone, you will be entering a plea of guilty and waiving your rights to a jury trial. Your violation(s) will be recorded as a conviction and reported to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS)  in accordance with the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, Art. 27.14(c),

Partial Payment

If you need to request an extension or payment plan, you will be required to appear in person with a government-issued photo I.D. You may also submit a written request by mail postmarked on or before your appearance date. For more information, please contact the Elgin Municipal Court Clerk's Office at (512) 281-0318 (open Monday thru Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm) before the appearance date listed on your citation

Deferred Disposition/Driver Safety Course
