Black History Month 

Hatitude event Saturday, February 4  celebrates the contributions of African American women to the Elgin Community.  Starting at 10am at the library enjoy light refreshments, music and join in honoring  Sister Diane Sadberry – Garner, the first lady of Weeping Willow Baptist Church.  Program includes a presentation about traditional church hats in the African American community.

Sip Shop & Stroll and Valentine Pop UP Art Show

Elgin Farmers' Market:
 Open every Saturday in Veterans' Memorial Park, 109 Depot Street from 9am to 1pm.  

Sip, Shop & Stroll: Thursday, February 9, 5 - 8 pm in Historic Downtown Elgin. Sip a little wine as you shop and stroll through unique shops with eclectic decor, clothing, art, gifts and more. In Store Specials updated for each event. 

Bulk Trash:  New information 
BULK TRASH SERVICES
The City of Elgin has Residential Bulk Pickup every other Tuesday. All bulk requests are to be submitted in writing, at dnavejas@ci.elgin.tx.us ,our website at elgintx.com or forms may be picked up at City Hall. Call in requests will not be accepted. The deadline to schedule a pickup is Friday at 5pm prior to the next scheduled bulk date. 
 
Chapter 42, Article IV, Section 42-272 “Bulky waste and brush waste shall not be placed out for collection earlier than 5:00 p.m. two days before the established collection day and shall be moved from the collection site no later than 7:00 a.m. the date after the collection day.”
 
Violation of the rules and requirements –including exceeding the limit for bulk trash placed at the curb may result in citation and potential fines per City Ordinance.

We're kicking off the 2017 season with our 8th Annual Barn Concert featuring Christine Albert and Chris Gage. Tickets $40 per person including a Texas BBQ reception.

A Traditional Texas BBQ buffet will be provided by our friends and sponsors at PROSPERITY BANK. Our popular silent auction will return this year, including a three-night stay at the Queen-Williams adobe in Marfa, TX.

CONCERT AT 7:30 
Albert and Gage will start at 7:30.
