Elgin Public Library
The Elgin Public Library is on Main Street next door to beautiful City Hall at the northern end of the Historic District.
The library provides books, audio-books, videos, music CD’s, large type, and e-books for all ages. Services include computers, free wi-fi, faxing, scanning, and copies.
Programs
A variety of free programming is available for ALL AGES with Literary and Cultural Events put on by the Friends of the Elgin Library.

- Story Time: Preschool Tuesday at 10:30 AM
- Lap-sit Program: Ages Newborn to 3 Tuesday at 10:30 AM
- Playdate: Every 2nd and 4th Friday 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM
- Arts & Crafts with Ms. Melinda Virtual Facebook Wednesday 2:30 PM
- Arts & Crafts with Ms. Melinda: Wednesday at 4:00 PM
- Thursdays Family Fun 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM
- Adult Crafts: 1st Friday at 1:00 PM
- Afternoon Book Club: 2nd Tuesday at 2:00 PM
- ESL Classes Beginners : Wednesdays 1:00 PM-2:00 PM
- Advanced Beginners: Thursdays 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
