Utility Billing

The City will work with those needing extensions or payment plans on a case-by-case and demonstrated needs basis.  To apply for an extension click here:  https://www.elgintx.com/955/Extensions

Direct costs are incurred by the City every day in the provision of water, sewer, and trash collection services to our residents. The Texas Constitution prohibits the City from waiving payment of utility bills for services rendered.

Part of the federal government’s program of economic relief, in the form of direct payments to taxpayers, unemployment compensation, etc. are designed to provide its citizens with the means to pay for essential services.  Information and resources addressing the COVID‑19 Pandemic are available athttps://www.elgintx.com/1065/COVID-19

We greatly appreciate the cooperation and support of our residents and businesses as we manage city operation through this trying time for the general good of the community at large.

The City of Elgin Utility Billing Department is located in City Hall.
