Seton to Build in Elgin

In December, the City of Elgin announced that a partnership agreement had been reached with the Seton Family of Hospitals/Ascension Texas that will facilitate the development of a multi-phase medical center complex within the city, including the construction of a Seton Clinic with after-hours urgent care by the end of 2018. Lee Dildy Blvd. Ground Breaking 

Please plan to join the City of Elgin, Bastrop County, TRC Engineers, Inc., and Patin Construction, LLC ground breaking for the Lee Dildy and Roy Rivers Boulevard Extension Project. This major expansion of public infrastructure into previously undeveloped areas, which Is anticipated to support and encourage additional residential, and commercial development, including national retailers, multi-phase medical center complex, retail business, restaurants, hotels/motels and mixed use.

Art

Pop Up Valentine Art Show

– February 8th through 14th
EAA will host a Pop-Up Art show featuring Two and Three-Dimensional Art at 115 N. Main Street, Elgin Texas. The show will open on Sip Shop and Stroll Thursday, February 8th and remain open through February 14th. Art will be available for viewing and sale from Noon to 8 pm on Sip Shop and Stroll evening. Be sure to come by, enjoy some wonderful original art and refreshments on Sip Shop & Stroll night. Hours are noon to 6 pm all other days.

Community Blood Drive 

Thank You for supporting the Elgin Community Blood Drive! We had a total of 43 donations which comes to over 5 gallons of blood! Way to go! 

Sidewalk Connection Project 

Texas Department of Transportation and City of Elgin officials broke ground for new sidewalks on FM 1100, State HWY. 95 North and County Line Road on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 10:00am.  The project includes 1,896 linear feet of sidewalk that will complete missing sections of sidewalk along these roads.  The $1.3 million project is funded through a Transportation Alternatives Project grant with the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO), Texas Department of Transportation and the City of Elgin. BULK TRASH

Bulk Trash:  New information 
BULK TRASH SERVICES

The City of Elgin has Residential Bulk Pickup every 2nd and 4th  Wednesdays of each month. All bulk requests are to be submitted in writing, at dnavejas@ci.elgin.tx.us ,our website at elgintx.com or forms may be picked up at City Hall. Call in requests will not be accepted. The deadline to schedule a pickup is Friday at 5pm prior to the next scheduled bulk date. 
 
Chapter 42, Article IV, Section 42-272 “Bulky waste and brush waste shall not be placed out for collection earlier than 5:00 p.m. two days before the established collection day and shall be moved from the collection site no later than 7:00 a.m. the date after the collection day.”
 
Violation of the rules and requirements –including exceeding the limit for bulk trash placed at the curb may result in citation and potential fines per City Ordinance.
